With the MLB All-Star Game & Home Run Derby less than a week away, we’ve got a really cool local connection! OWEN BLACK, a 13 yr old from Murfreesboro, NC qualified for & then won a Regional Home Run hitting contest recently held in Washington, DC……..By doing so, Owen earned the right to be one of 8 Regional winners to get to hit in the National Finals during MLB’s All-Star Week next week. Owen, plays for Coach Brandon Peebles & the Carolina Titans. Brandon is a member with us and has his team in often. What an opportunity for this young man & what an experience he has already had!
